Dr. Laxineta earned a B.S. in animal science from UC Davis in 1979. He graduated from UCD Veterinary School in 1983. Animal health care is a family affair as both his wife and daughter are UC Davis veterinary alumni in Small Animal Medicine.

Since 1985 Dr. Laxineta has been in equine practice in the Temecula Valley. He provides service accordingly regardless of whether his clients have one horse or a broodmare farm to manage. Dr. Laxineta has over 35 years of experience in equine health care with special interest in reproduction and lameness issues. He is a "gear-head" and has the latest equipment including digital x-ray and ultrasound.

Aside from equine healthcare, he is a father of three well established children, and married to his bride for over 36 years. Dr. Marc is also a passionate and avid travel photographer. His works include everything from astronomy to underwater, around the world, and everything in between. His equine photography has also been featured on the cover of Horse & Rider magazine.
